Commonwealth Spectrum Management Forum 2018

The Commonwealth Spectrum Management Forum 2018, took place on the 4 – 6 September 2018 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Port Louis, Mauritius. While industry experts are busy equipping all things with Internet connectivity to facilitate machine-to-machine (M2M) communications as well as man-machine interaction, there are many in the developing world for whom broadband access as a human right, is still a distant dream. The Forum addressed these and other competing demands for spectrum.

Stakeholders need to engage closely with the international coordination mechanisms of the International Telecommunication Union through the World Radiocommunication Conferences. This Forum aimed to build the capacity of stakeholders in managing spectrum from planning and assigning to utilising and recovery as well as to help stakeholders prepare for the next World Radio Communication Conference.
